We are excited to announce that Mark Webberly has joined the bank as Senior Vice President, Mortgage Banking! Mark brings more than 30 years of experience in residential and commercial lending, private mortgage banking, and relationship-driven financial services.

Webberly joins Citizens State Bank after more than a decade with U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, where he served as a Private Wealth Mortgage Banker, a designation held by only a select group of loan officers nationwide. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for providing concierge-level service, guiding clients through complex mortgage transactions with clarity, precision, and care.

“What drew me to Citizens State Bank was the local decision-making and the ability to truly serve the community I live in,” said Webberly. “Community banking means understanding that a home loan is just one part of a client’s broader financial picture. Being able to make a warm handoff to a trusted local banker is part of my responsibility as an advisor.”

Webberly’s approach centers on understanding each client’s unique circumstances and ensuring they feel informed and prepared at every stage of the mortgage process. His experience spans traditional residential lending, construction and complex financing, relocation services, and high-net-worth clients across all 50 states.

Before entering mortgage banking, Webberly began his career on the Commodity Exchange, where he became one of the top brokers in the trading pits at a young age. This foundation gave him a deep understanding of market dynamics, pricing, and risk management, insight he continues to bring to large and sophisticated lending transactions today.

Deeply connected to the communities he serves, Webberly is actively involved in numerous professional and philanthropic organizations. He serves on the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a member of the Affiliate Committee for the Grosse Pointe Board of Realtors, and holds leadership roles with multiple chapters of the Women’s Council of Realtors. He is also involved with the Home Builders Association of Southeast Michigan, the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors, and the Private Directors Association, where he serves as Membership Chair for the Detroit chapter.

In addition, Webberly serves on the Catholic Foundation of Michigan’s Grant and Impact Committee, which reviews and awards scholarships supporting children’s education and provides grants to vital community service organizations. He has received multiple awards recognizing his service to the building and real estate industries.

“Mark’s experience, leadership, and commitment to community align perfectly with who we are as a bank,” said Dan Fischer, President / CEO of Citizens State Bank. “He understands that relationships come first, and his ability to connect clients with the right solutions makes him an exceptional addition to our mortgage team.”

Webberly will focus on expanding Citizens State Bank’s mortgage and construction lending capabilities while continuing to build strong relationships with homebuyers, builders, real estate professionals, and business owners throughout the area.
