Citizens State Bank Welcomes Theresa Nisan as Vice President of Retail Banking

With nearly 23 years of experience in the financial industry, Theresa brings an impressive depth of knowledge across both consumer and commercial banking, as well as a dynamic, people-first approach that aligns perfectly with CSB’s values.
A Leader Grounded in Experience and Purpose
Theresa’s career has been defined by results, mentorship, and service. For Theresa, success is measured by building empowered, high-performing teams and nurturing customer relationships rooted in trust and understanding.
“I’ve always led with integrity and by example,” says Theresa. “Helping people grow in their careers and watching them step into their potential; that’s the most rewarding part of leadership.”
Theresa holds a degree in business management and marketing from Davenport University and has spent her career building strong networks, mentoring colleagues, and creating results-driven cultures everywhere she goes.

Beyond the Bank
When she’s not working, Theresa wears many hats, her favorite being “mom.” She’s the proud parent of two teenage boys (and their dedicated chauffeur), and finds joy in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. A lover of the outdoors, she enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring the local food scene, especially discovering hidden culinary gems.
Theresa’s global perspective is shaped by a deep love for travel and culture. She’s visited countries including Germany, Amsterdam, Turkey, Greece, and France, and is fluent in six Arabic dialects. Her multicultural background enriches her personal life and professional approach.
